We are the first school in Ireland to participate in the GLOBE International Microplastics Protocol. We filtered water samples from our local river, the Tolka River, to test for microplastics. We were delighted to have the assistance of Quentin Crowley from Trinity College, Dublin and Aileen Bright from GLOBE Ireland. We discovered traces of microplastics from our samples!
